[Photoset: images of four male superheroes in redesigned revealing costumes. The first is Batman, in boots, panties attached to some sort of weird V-shaped strip of cloth baring most of his torso, a shoulder-piece with the Bat symbol across his collarbones, gloves, a cape, and the cowl, with accompanying text “This is very practical. It helps him fight crime. No Really!” The second is Superman, in that bizarre massively-twisted pose designed to show off female characters’ breasts and bottoms, wearing a midriff-baring cropped top, panties, garters(?), boots, and a cape, with accompanying text “Who needs spines anyway? Not Superman.” The third is Captain America, in cowl, sleeveless top with a star-shaped cutout loosely connected to shorts by strips of red fabric, and boots, balancing awkwardly on one foot and holding his shield over his head, with accompanying text “Impractical fighting pose and cleavage window? What could go wrong?” The last is Spider-Man, wearing boots, knee-high stockings, some sort of torso-baring leotard connecting to a mask and with elbow-length sleevelike things mostly made of straps, and gloves, with accompanying text “It counts as clothing if it’s painted on, right?”]

Welcome to: If Male Superhero Costumes were Designed Like Female Superhero Costumes!

Aaaaa I dunno. I got tired of guys having no idea why girls find female superhero’s costumes kinda sexist, so I, um, made this?

My main goals were: 1) Make it so the first thing you think of when you look at them is sex, whether you want to or not. 2) make it so that any male human who looks at this feels really uncomfortable. 3) make it funny, because, well, it’s kinda hilarious really.

Not trying to start a war here, just wanted to poke a bit of fun.

So, here you go menfolk, welcome to being a girl who likes comics.

I think both of these are relevant yeah

[Image: Rule 63’d Catwoman and Batman, on a lacy pink Valentine’s card. The card is titled, “Swapped Comics Alliance Valentines” and reads, “You stole my heart Valentine… but please put back the jewels.” Catwoman is tugging on Batman’s cowl, pulling her in close, while Batman holds Catwoman’s shapely behind.]

More Gender swapped Valentines for Comics Alliance!

Batman and Catwoman!

I couldn’t resist putting Catman in the old back breaker pose so many female super heroes get put in. However, I just couldn’t bring myself to fully break his back, haha! I guess I still wanted it to be a little sexy? Not a complete parody? It’s more like his butt cheek is popping over to give a little “hey gurrl”.

More to come!

Love, Jess

[Photoset: A series of photos featuring a Rule 63’d Black Canary cosplay with other 63’d DC Comics characters. In the first, he is being elbowed in the face by Batman. In the second he is shouting at the viewer while Green Lantern poses behind him. In the third he is holding Green Arrow on his shoulder. The third is a close-up of his face.]

Black Manary appreciation post!

Our Danny Lance only got to join the rest of the Genderbent Justice League for a couple of hours at WonderCon 2011, but United Underworld is really looking forward to seeing more of his pretty fishnetted chest this year!

For this project we had to dress a female model in clothing inspired by a movie that had not been released. I got assigned The Dark Knight! (YES) I based her outfit on the joker because of heath ledger and all. SO all in all it was fun. Then i hated it. Then it was kinda fun again….but my teacher liked it alright, so its okay i guess.

Rule 63 Joker

My Genderbent Joker costume in its very first incarnation - thank heavens for finding a green wig and not having to spray color my hair anymore - and my friend’s awesome Scarecrow.
